Chinese New Year 2013

A very late entry for Chinese New Year.
My 'chu xi ye', reunion dinner, is a typical family dinner at both me and my bf's house.

Steamboat like every other years. LOL.

We have 8 people for dinner, so the amount of food is a lot!

And then to 'lao yu sheng' Everyone huat ah!

And for first day of visiting of relatives...
Every year standard, two places to go, just one day of visiting. :)

My outfit for the day is red in colour dress from MDS. It is nice and pretty cheap! I think is $39 only. I had my hair tied up in a bun after bath so it became like curled hair after I let it down. Pretty and easy to do!

The train was so empty!

The cute little cousin of bf's. Gregory! So playful and chubby! Plus he looks exactly like his brother!

And ootd for the first day of work after Chinese New Year.

Got our ang baos at workplace too! Yeay! Big ang bao makes us happy!

I didn't take much photos when I went to visit one of my colleague's house. But we had yu sheng as well, and some other yummy food!

End of visiting, look at the amount of ang baos we got! Especially the one in the center. The surname of both me and my bf. Prettiest ang bao ever! Just a few more years and it's our turn to give ang baos to the next generation! :)

Wish everyone had a good year ahead! Earn big bucks, have good health and great wealth! HUAT HUAT HUAT!

Love & Co. Valentine's Day Dinner

Thanks to Love&Co, my boyfriend and I are able to enjoy the sumptuous advance valentine's day dinner at Lawry's! Only 10 couples win this lucky draw will be attending. We are one of the lucky couple!

First time been to this place. Too atas for me. Lol.

Sorry for the unprofessional photography skill in a shaky van. That was make up for the day. I have good hair day for the day! Happy with it. :) Wore the dress I bought from MDS.

The menu for the day.

The table arrangement is so pretty. The board is actually lyrics hidden behind for the guys to sing! LOL.

Wine glass. Left hand side was butter for bread.

Happily eating my bread.

The waitress is serving the cold salad. She looks like she is dancing with the salad. Lol.

The appetizer. Their salad was really tasty! The soup isn't bad too. Love them both.

Tadah! Someone else's fish. Lol. Sneak picture. Both me and bf are taking the beef, so we do not have any fish served, so I took other people's.

Other couples.

The chef is cooking the beef and slicing them one by one. Looks good!

The main dish is able to choose from beef or fish. Of course I choose the more expensive one right. HAHAHHAHA!! The meat is really lean and chewy! It is not like other beef that makes you chew non stop and doesn't break. This is top class beef okay!

Looks fat here. Hmmm.....

Halfway through dinner, they sent each of the couple a rose. The rose is really big! As big as the size of my palm. And is really pretty!

Side dish. This is a little spicy inside. I'm not sure what exactly is this though, I just eat it.

The dessert. A really sinful one, But it tastes really good! I especially love the ice-cream bar, and my favourite cherry!  :D

And the tea for clearing oil in the stomach. Lol. They have many choices of tea available, like apple tea, peppermint tea, fruit tea, green tea, a lot la! Tea was refreshing, but I think I'd chosen the wrong one cause I don't really like mine. I love my bf's, but can't remember what kind of tea is it.

And then this is the picture taken by them (complimentary) and we get to keep the photo! Instant print out for us. :) I look like I was drunk. HAHA!

That's all for that day. :)
How did you guys celebrate V. Day?

R.O.M. Preparations

Everyone is always nervous about weddings. What to do, where to start, and how to do it. For my own, I didn't approach and professional wedding planner cause I find it pretty waste of money. Of course they can do a better job, way better than myself, but if you have the time to experience your own wedding throughout, why not? Just research on what you need, and where to source them at. Go to forums. Comparing of prices and themes that you would like. It will be best if any of your friends are able to help. I'm really glad and fortunate that my friends try to lend me a lot a lot of hands, but they have their things to do too. Not trying to force them into doing anything, any small things they are able to help then I'll try to ask them. If not, then it's either me or fiance. :) I love preparing all the things like choosing of gowns(actually their selection doesn't have a lot, but luckily I've decided on one with the help of Eunice and fiance. Sometimes it's good that you actually bring some of your close friends to give you opinions of what you look like and whether it suits you overall.) , doing D.I.Y. guest book, the reception table decor and blah blah blah..

It may seem that time taken is a lot, but I tried spreading it out and since we have booked the date and places pretty early, time is more than enough! The misfortune thing is that I have my prelims at the month of my wedding! Seriously crap. So I've decided to have my priority in solemnization then my school. :)

Nothing much to update on my solemnization yet and I will update only after the actual day. Wouldn't want to break all my surprises. LOL.

So far I've done 1/5 of my guest book, chose my dress, booked the place and solemnizer. Shoes are also bought. Well, the decorations wise I wouldn't need to worry much as the hotel did help in default decorations. If only I wanted more, then I have to think of what to do, can do on that day. I will bring in some of my ideas too. Stay tune! :D
